Triangle poncho-style sweater:  scroll down to bottom of page for video tutorial

Materials needed:
2mm crochet hook
yarn needle
scissors
any yarn you like
*for the one you see in the picture on this page I used 3 rolls of “bernat handicrafter crochet thread size 5” and it made a child size (age 7-9)

* ch.5
* join last ch to first ch w/sl.st
* ch. 3
* make 2 more dc into the circle
* ch. 2
* dc x3 into the circle
* ch.3 & turn work
* dc x2 into that first st
* dc x3 into the next ch. space
* ch.2
* dc x3 into the same space
* dc x3 in the top of the last st (the top of the turning ch)
* ch.3 & turn work
* dc x2 in the same stitch
* dc x3 in the next ch. space, ch.2 & dc x3 in the same space
* repeat to all the way down the row
* [ch.3 & turn work
* dc x2 in the first st
* dc x3 in the next space; when you get to the point of the triangle (where the ch.2 space is) dc x3, ch.2, dc x3
* dc x3 in the next space
* dc x3 in the top of the last st (the top of the turning ch)]
* repeat [ to ] until you have reached the desired size
* for child size (age 8-10) complete 43 rows
* fasten off
* repeat all of the steps above again so you are left with the front and the back of the sweater
* once you’ve completed both sides, line them up evenly having the longest edge along the top (this will be the neck and shoulders) attach at one corner and close a seam a portion of the way with 59 sc, close with sl.st and fasten off
* re-attach yarn at the other corner and repeat the same for this partial seam closure
* hide all tail ends of project with a yarn needle by weaving in and out of stitches on the inside
* fringe: cut even lengths of yarn or thread and tie along the edge evenly spaced with a double knot
