– Join the ends together with sc in each st to close a seam and create a band

– weave yarn in and out of each st all the way around & fasten off; pull string to close the hole at top of the hat, use a yarn needle to hide the end by weaving in and out of stitches
Pom-Pom
wrap yarn around your hand (I do it with my palm open and wrap the yarn around my 4 fingers) in a full circle around your hand 100 times & cut.
Carefully remove the yarn from your hand keeping it in the wrapped shape you have just created. Cut another long piece of yarn, lay the ball of yarn you have just removed from your hand on the middle of this long piece and wrap it around the middle of this yarn ball you have just removed from your and and tie tightly in a double knot; leaving 2 long tail ends. It should now resemble a bow. Use scissors to cut the loops on both ends and fluff out the pom pom. Place the pom pom on the top of the hat, pull the 2 tail strings through and tie on the inside (double knot) and use yarn needle to weave tail ends in the stitches on inside of the hat.
