This crochet crocodile stitch is one of my favorites! I will warn you that it does seem to use more yarn than any other stitch I have tried so far, however, the look is so unique and beautiful. I used this stitch combined with a few others to create a beautiful mermaid tail blanket for my daughter. I have seen this stitch used in hat patterns and baby blanket patterns as well. The video tutorial below will give you what you need to be able to tackle a pattern that calls for this stitch or even the confidence you need to create your very own pattern!
The crochet stitches “how to’s” section of this website (see menu tabs) is a great place to find inspiration by learning a new stitch. These tutorials are focused on a specific stitch rather than an entire project. This way you can reference this section when you’re stuck on a pattern or, as I mentioned a moment ago, to find inspiration for a new project.
